Vinnie Rides The Bull

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I recently made a trip up to the Erie County Fair. I had a great time – eating fair-food, visiting with old friends and hanging out with the fair-folk and then I rode the bull…about six years ago, I rode this mechanical bull, I was almost 100 pounds heavier than I am now and I really didn’t last very long, this year, I did it again and lasted almost a full minute, until I was thrown…

I think the bull may’ve been a little long in the tooth, he didn’t buck as much as he did last time, or mayhaps, the person running the ride went easy on me.

I Voted -Then Made A Video About It

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

When I walked into my polling place and saw there wasn’t a single voter there, I’d knew there’d be no problems with me taping the experience – I’d checked out the NJ law and there’s nothing on the books says I couldn’t.

I entered the video I created into the YouTube Video Your Vote contest.

Let me know what you think…don’t forget to rate it…

Vinnie’s Reel and Other Videos

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

One of the things I’ve been putting off since Mac crashed is reloading and rebuilding my reel.

I got a call from Bernie’s this morning telling me they’re about to send a copy of the work I did in January, so that gave me the push I needed to start the project – still not doing more for them but I did send off a strongly worded email.

Luckily the clips aren’t too long, it only took about three hours to get everything reloaded – everything is up on the YouTube, but unfortunitaly, I can’t rip it off the YouTube so everything had to be re-uploaded from the original discs – when I get the Bernie’s DVD, I’ll start putting it all back together again.

As part my of my redoubling efforts – postcarding, new headshots, etc., etc. – I need to reedit my reel to make it better and send it out to agents and CDs – even if they don’t want it.

I lost all the videos in the crash and while I’d love to get everything back on, I just can’t imagine re-uploading the 5 Takes episodes – it literally took three days to get it all on but luckily, I made a dvd of the hosting reel – I did want to get the rest of my vlogs up ’cause the 5 Takes website is no longer active but alas, thet is the least of my concerns.

Again, another positive side effect of the Mono, time to take care of what needs to be taken care of.

Crystal Palace Roller Rink

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Tom, Brian, Ann and I took a trip to the Crystal Palace Roller Rink while we were in Vegas.

After losing too much money Brian came up with a great idea, "Let’s go roller skating." Actually it started out as "Let’s go dune buggy-ing." but wheels are wheels, right?

After a few calls, we found the Crystal Place.

Located in the Southeast area of Las Vegas, the Boulder Crystal Palace is one of the nation’s largest and most beautiful skating facilities. A huge maple skating surface in a clean friendly environment are just two of the reasons to visit our rink as the perfect place for family skating, birthday parties or school groups. For more information on the Boulder Crystal Palace Skating Center call (702)458-7107!

It only cost $10.00 – not including the cab ride – well worth the fun had by all.

When traveling, it’s always best to get off the beaten path and discover where the locals go to have good, clean fun. We did, and here’s the proof:

Putting It Together: Fruitcake A Christmas Spectacular!

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

I put together a three part magnum opus in Putting It Together, a behind the scenes look at what goes into putting together Cake.

I had to break it up into three parts, because no matter how I tried, I just couldn’t edit it down to under the YouTube ten minute video time limit – I did try uploading it one 14 minute chunk but it was unceremoniously rejected.

I hope you watch and have a laugh.

If you like it, rate it.

Don’t forget to pass us around like the cheap French whores we are…

They did something to voice, they made me sound more elf-like, I’m not sure if I knew they were going to do that…

You Tube Nation

Monday, October 29th, 2007

So I’ve been posting to YouTube for almost a year now.

A lot of people have watched what I posted, I just wanted to say, "Thanks!"

I feel that YouTube is a great way to market yourself, but only if people watch. One thing that gets my videos higher on the search engine is ratings.

Soooo, if you’re there anyway, don’t forget to rate what you watch – just sayin’, not judging.
